A rainy café. One empty chair. A conversation worth missing your train for.
Read her openingA charming stranger. A slow-burn romance. A world with a secret. Find a fictional starting point that feels like your kind of story.
Fictional adult characters. For entertainment and creative play.
Start with Mia for a conversation about shared interests, Theo for a question about a missing room, or Sofia for a choice about a sealed letter. Each opening gives you a different job: connect, investigate, or decide whom to trust.
Choose a character-led conversation if the next thing you want to discover is a person’s point of view. Choose a world-led scene if you want an external problem to solve. Try this test: if you remove the character, is there still a problem? If yes, begin with the world brief.
Start with a personality, not a perfect pickup line. These fictional concepts give you a taste of the stories you could imagine.
Mia invites a personal answer; Theo asks you to interpret evidence; Sofia lets you set the terms of an exchange; Adrian offers shared worldbuilding. Pick the kind of reply you would enjoy writing, then try its opening below.

A distinct character changes what happens next, not just the adjectives in a reply.
Give the conversation a place to go. Explore three concept worlds, each with a role for you and a reason to turn the page.
One missing heir. Three uneasy alliances. A place at the table for you.
Read the world briefThe city is closing. Your conversation is just getting started.
Read the world briefA sealed letter. A late train. Someone who knows your name.
Read the world briefOriginal scene extension. The departure board changes while the letter stays sealed. Sofia has time for one question before she must collect her bag.
None of these choices opens the letter for you. The next turn should respond to the decision you actually made.
An invitation arrives just as the royal heir disappears. Every alliance has a price; you decide which questions to ask.
Use this setting in your starterThese are editorial rules for these fictional concepts. Add new facts only after they appear in your version of the story.
You do not need the perfect opening line. Choose a reply and see how the tone of a scene can change.
Rain taps against the café window. There is one empty chair across from Mia.
A prewritten sample, not a live AI chat. This scene is not sent to WantYou.
Choose Theo, answer once, and restart to try the other choice. One branch offers an older map; the other offers a surveyor or handwriting comparison. Both are prewritten. The useful test is whether your choice changes the available next action, rather than merely producing a warmer reply.

Write a non-explicit scene with fictional adults. Theo is 29; my envoy is 30. We are in the palace archive before sunset. A room is missing from the newest map, but its cause is unknown. Theo protects the documents and asks precise questions. Give me one visible clue and one question. Do not choose my actions, thoughts or feelings. Do not invent what my character secretly knows. I may inspect the map, ask who changed it, propose another action, or leave. Stop before resolving my choice.
To adapt it, change the clue and immediate task first. Keep the division of control explicit.
A good scene has more than a mood. Give it a few clear facts, a pace you enjoy and room for your own decisions.
Write two traits and one motivation. For example: Theo is observant, speaks carefully and wants to protect the archive. Use these as a writing brief, not a promise of perfect model behavior.
Read the complete guide →For a slow burn, ask for curiosity before declarations, small choices before big commitments, and space to change the subject.
Read the complete guide →Include a simple direction: “Describe the setting and the other characters, but let me choose what my character does, thinks and feels.”

Use the sealed letter as a small continuity exercise: record that it is unopened, Sofia recognizes the handwriting, and your character has not chosen what to do. After a few turns, ask for the current situation without supplying those facts again. Mark each as preserved, contradicted or omitted.
A correct recap is one observation, not proof of lasting memory. This is a suggested exercise, not a completed WantYou test. Use the continuity record →
Subscription offers checked in the live WantYou interface on September 21, 2026, without signing in or purchasing. Introductory and renewal amounts differ. Your checkout may show a different offer.
| Term | First payment | Automatic renewal |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $4.99 for 1 month | $12.99 each month |
| 3 months | $23.99 for 3 months | $38.99 every 3 months |

The live offer separates the introductory charge from renewal: $4.99 then $12.99 per month; $23.99 then $38.99 per three months; $41.99 then $154.99 per year. The annual introductory amount is about $3.50 per month, but is charged for the full year. Its renewal is about $12.92 per month, also billed annually.
The screen states automatic renewal, possible additional local taxes, and cancellation through your account. Recheck the selected plan’s billing note before payment. An earlier user-supplied screenshot showed different amounts and same-price renewal; do not assume that earlier offer applies to your session.
The live offer lists unlimited text messages, 100 monthly Pulses, voice messages and video notes, long-term companion memory, companion creation, and image and video generation. These are advertised features, not results of our own performance tests. This offer screen does not establish Pulse spending rules or the price of additional Pulses.
